Thanks for the helpful pics and info, Ricky. Having maintained Heim joints in race cars, I wanted to see if there was any noticeable difference in a street driven application. The feel is positive with no slack but that may just be the overall system.

Like Ray Y, I installed the Steeroids kit but with power steering. There are other options for the steering system to choose from but I'm happy with my r&p unit. Then again, I was aware to install per manufacturing recommendation and have kept an eye on the components, to ensure everything stays where it was designed to be. Mine is all bolted in with no welding, in the off chance I chose to return to recirculating ball.

Cruising many miles at 80mph, I am comfortable with the natty performance to move through highway traffic. One day, I hope to find out how the car reacts under auto-x conditions.

Ok I see, can I do the same on regular cone spindles And ad shims? On the VBP kit i can swap the stock ones to the speed direct ones.

Or you could just look into using the VBP Bump steer kit that they sell which works with the stock tie rod ends, some even prefer using the stock ends over the heim joints for street use.
