how to richen carb?
So my exhaust is giving me lots of popping when i let go of the gas pedal.
only thing i have done is put in true dual exhaust and redo all spark plugs and wiring.
i've read that it must mean my carb is running too lean. I was thinking about rebuilding it, but not sure yet. What is the process to richen up the carb? Is it something simple or difficult, etc.
I have a '78 vette L-82 4-sp manual with a carb that is a Q-Jet (but not original, from a '79 camaro I believe)

i took the belt off the pump about a week ago. it was squeeking and since i have no cats, it provides no function.
since i added true duals, it needs to be adjusted.
my shop guy said he would do it for 75 bucks for the labor, might be 30ish in parts if it has been drilled out too much.

When I had popping from the exhaust on lifting (exactly as you describe) the cause was always a leak somewhere in the exhaust system. Sounds like the issue started at the same time you changed your exhaust (to duals) so I would check all along the exhaust from manifolds to exhaust tips for a little leak.
