I would have to say son not like father because he is driving a foreign car. How is a VW like a Corvette? Nice Corvette though, I like the steering wheel, the wheel spinners and the speedometer especially.

Ok, I'll speak up here, I like your boy's ride. I'm trying to figure out if it is a GTI or not. It's not ratted out like you see a lot of young kids cars, w primer, 3 foot tall spoiler, and 50000 gaudy add ons. Of course yours is cooler, I gotta stick up for my fellow 79 owners!

thats a sweet looking GTI. i had a first generation Rabbit GTI back in the mid/late 80's and loved that car. i'd probably still have it if i hadnt killed a moose with it. sweet looking 79 too, are those knock off wheels or are those the bolt ons with the spinner being a center cap?

I know it is not a corvette but like his dad he like cars and likes to modify them to match his personality. Better cars ( all cars) then other vices

Both nice rides. Looks like your son is rocking some BBSs wheels? I will say I like em both, but I am not a fan of stretched tires, but I am kinda from both worlds. I just traded in a 06 Toyota XRS that I had done a bit of work to. I wish I would have gotten a picture of it with the Corvette before I traded it in. But I don't need two toys, so the XRS had to go, that and I needed a 4x4 since have moved to Buffalo.
