Default Lost Heads

Well my new Brodix RR heads have been lost in transit.......

Ordered a pair of Brodix race rite heads, had them shipped ( successfully) to a freight forwarding agent in LA. They were loaded into a shipping container bound for New Zealand.
Apparently the container was randomly pulled for a US customs check.
US customs contract a company to unpack and repack containers for them.
Some where between the un pack and repack two packages of Brodix BBC heads have vanished................................ ........
Now it get interesting, the shipping company I contracted to ship my goods are making a claim for the goods to their US freight forwarder, the US freight company are claiming against the company whom unpacked the container on behalf of US customs..........
Call me cynical, but I think this is going to be a l-o-n-g process before I see any heads here in NZ.................... chances of vette going before xmas....slim

Sounds like that's going to be a nightmare. Good luck and hope things don't take too long. We get spoiled in the states . . . I go crazy waiting a few days for my stuff. Once you spend the money, you got to have it NOW!

I air freight small light things but the air freight for heads was "crazy"! and we have to pay good tax on the freight amount as well, perhaps I should just fly over and put in my carry on luggage
Safer and more fun option

Yeah, I know what you mean, I usually use the shipping forwarder service called "My US", they keep collecting all your boxes and then ship them in a single large shipment with a discounted price, you get to save quite few dollars especially if you share your shipments with some other friends, I do that all the time.

I hope things will turn OK with your heads, good luck.

Cheers, yes fingers crossed some heads arrive here at some point.
That a good idea, and in the US with all the liability with damages ect, small parts seem to end up in huge boxes, end result paying to freight lots of "air" around the world!
Might look into that in the future

Thanks
