Default New shift ****

Hey Guys,

When my corvette arrives, I plan to change the shift **** as I have never been a fan of the straight ball shifter *****. But I thought it might be nice to have an illuminated accented shift **** that matched the exterior color (yellow). I didn't want anything extensive, something subtle and low key. This is what I have found so far.

This is very close to what I was looking for, but I was hoping to have some other options. I like the simple design, and the one neon strip. I was hoping to find one with two strips that ran down opposite does of the shifter, but to no avail.

So these are my questions:
1) Do you know of any really good places with these kinds of *****? From Google, I seem to only find this kind or really extensively LED and NEON filled *****.
2) Does anyone foresee an issue with the neon light strip?
3) Are shifter ***** pretty standard in size or will I also have a difficult time matching a new **** to the stick base? I was under the impression, you screw one off and screw the new one on.
4) Do you think it would up clashing with the interior as this will be the only part that is yellow on the inside? The rest is all black interior.

Thanks.

Assuming these questions arent a joke
1. What year car are you talking about?
2. Manual or Automatic transmission?
3. How exactly is this type of **** going to work with the stock shift mechanism regardless of manual or automatic?

1) 1980
2) Manual Transmission
3) Well I will have to admit that i haven't been able to really examine the shifter as the car is not in my possession, as of yet. However, I was comparing it to the few stick-shift trucks I have driven and their ***** just screwed off. So based on how this one looked and my prior experience with those ball shifter *****, I thought this would work. What makes you think that it won't?

Maybe so, but I don't see this being any different then those who buy new 2011 Z06 corvette, or other brand cars, seats because they are more comfortable.

Or maybe adding "Holley double pumper, long tube headers, Flowmasters."

With a **** like that you are going to have a long reach when you want to shift into reverse. I don't know where the wiring is supposed to go for the neon but that could look ugly also.

He's started about 10 different threads based on various modifications so far. Where have you been?

So are the Lambo doors in yet?

No, and I don't plan on putting them on.
But I was thinking about adding a little red button on the end of parking break so when I push it, two jet engines will come out my trunk and I can invert my car when I am driving through tunnels. Get past all the pesky traffic.
