demon 750 DP question ?
here is the story...all the sudden it seemed like the back bowl needle and seat became blocked as gas was pouring out of the vent tube. i first pulled out the needle and checked it for debris but nothing so i pulled off the bowl and there was a few tiny amounts of gunk but im talking almost microscopic. i checked my filter and not too bad...just the usual gas dirt.
This is where it gets real tricky as this is in my 71 camaro . to narrow down my next move i swapped the back bowl needle with the front and bingo all the sudden the front vent tube starts pouring out so im now thinking its a damaged seat even though it looks totally fine ...so i go to the vet that has the same carb and take out the needle/seat thinking it must be damaged even though i cant visually see it and install it into the camaro . I cant believe it !!!! after installing this previously good assembly from the vet into the camaro it also starts spewing out the vent . why on earth would gas be pouring out of my vent tubes like this????
i cleaned, i changed float heights(with no change) .
