Maybe. You couldn't get optional 255-60s in 77, but the broken mold myth doesn't hold water.

That would be the case on essentially every Corvette model year.

Flip through a parts catalog and see how many times you see the expressions "early" and late." Those are a fraction of the differences you will find in most years.

Years ago I had an early production 77 which had 76 firethorn red leather int. instead of the normal red int.

Well...I actually ordered my '77 in Dec/76 and took possession in Apr/77 with the "special" Indigo Blue interior and exterior...who knew that it was only in that model year. Time lapse, I now have a replacement after 25 years (got married had children, no vette... now same beautiful wife, kids gone out west and married) again with another '77...silver exterior and I had a custom leather set made by Al knoch in...you guessed it...Indigo blue but had a buckskin centre pad which made it totally custom...looks great, sorry no pics...
