gel coat 1976
what is the color the factory used. i find an off white color when i get to last paint color scraping with razor blade. three blue same color.

than what was sprayed on the body before paint a primer for sealing the fiber glass if so could it be a white color. lots of scraping and lots of blades

The factory used gray and red primer. I'm guessing the "off white" you are finding is factory primer.
Three color coats and gray primer sounds factory correct.
