Hardtop Interchangeability

Will the same hardtop fit the 68-72 convertible? I bought a 68 and the seller has a non 1968 top that he said will fit and I'm trusting but verifying before I wire him the extra money for the top- thanks in advance for the assistance!

All 68-75 Corvette hardtops are interchangeable.

After 68 there was a bolt added to the center rear of the hardtop. Your 68 will not have a corresponding hole in the decklid, but the bolt can easily be removed by taking off the lower trim. This is also how you can tell if a 69+ convertible was built with the optional hardtop, non hardtop cars did not have this center decklid hole either.

depending on your location I have this top off a 69 (CX dated rear window/Nov 68 with bright blue interior) available. send a PM if your interested and anywhere near the Milwaukee/Chicago area...
