Speedometer not working
I have a 69 vette with a th400 tranny. The speedometer stopped working yesterday, so i pulled the cable off the tranny end and turned it to see if the gauge moved and it did. So I figured the little greenish gear in the transmission is stripped because I can also turn the little gear freely in park, which I am assuming it is not supposed to do.
Can anyone offer me any insight on changing this little gear.
Can I pull the little "housing" the gear is in without fluid coming out? Im guessing thats how you get to the gear.
Any help would be much appreciated,
