When these cars were assembled at the factory were the hood hinges painted or not. I can not find the answer in any of my books. Thanks in advance - BK3

Yes and no. The hinges themselves are unpainted bare metal BUT the hinges and hood were installed when the car was painted so, while not directly color coated, they can show evidence of exterior color along their outside edges.
The hinges were also in place during blackout and can show semiflat black on them.
