I'm in the process of purchasing a 1981 C-3 (no I'm not giving up my C-5). I have always loved the body style of the C-3 and it finally worked out. Question: What type oil is recommended? What type antifreeze? What type transmission fluid? Can you point me to a web site that lists the capacities for the above questions? Where can I find an owners manual?
Thanks
Owners manuals as well as AIM, (assembly manuals) and GM repair manuals can be bought thru most vette suppliers. Wilcox, Ecklers just to name a couple. Good luck with the vette.

All the aftermarket providers carry owner's manuals.
Congrats on the upcoming '81 purchase! I have an '81 as well and can answer some of your other questions that have not been answered yet. On the oil, I live just outside of Austin TX so winters are mild and summers are HOT. I use 4.25 quarts of traditional Castrol GTX 10W-30 with a quart of Rislone zinc oil additive. Its like $5 at O'Reilly Auto Parts. My '81 shows great oil pressure all the time and runs very smooth. On anti-freeze I use a 50/50 mix of the regular green stuff and distilled water, it has never failed me with any of my cars. Depending on the transmission you get will determine the kind of fluid you use there. As far as capacities go, check the owners manual but the dipstick and taking your rad. cap off never lie. We look forward to seeing the pics of your new car when you get it!
