G'day all!!
Rose, Gary and I arrived in LA this week and we are looking forward to the drive to Las Vegas this Friday for the SEMA Show next week.
Today we drove along Wilshire to La Brea and did a tour of the tar pits, most interesting! Then we walked a few blocks down and visited the Petersen Museum for a few hours and then filled the "fuel tanks" at Johnny Rocket's diner. Couldn't eat any dinner tonight, LOL!!!
Tomorrow it's off to Universal Studios and then an early start Friday for Vegas. Spoke to Paul Dana tonight and are really looking forward to the cruise to Big Bear Lake Saturday fortnight.

I don't think there are any car events going on while you're here, but we can find a good dinner spot or I'll fire up the grill

Don't know where you are staying but if you have time after doing UC you might want to take a drive over Mulholland. Great views of Hollywood and the Valley and a nice twisty road. Mullholland west of the 405 is also a great drive. Take it to The Rock Store and on to Decker to PCH. Also take a run down Sunset to the coast.
Long Beach Hot Rod swap meet is Nov 6.
Also all the usual weekend cruise stuff going on (Donut derilecs, etc).
Not sure of any specific Vette stuff though.
