I have a 1969 Corvette project that is near complete. I found this car in a barn (literally) it only has 20,000 miles and has been stored since 1974. I bought the car to restore it and it is almost complete. The engine has been rebuilt and I kept everything that came off the car and was replaced. it still has the original redline tires on it, completely original everything. It has the 350/300 with a 4 speed, convertible, monza red (could use paint) with black interior, fiberglass hardtop. Well with the way my life works almost completed project and my wife is making me sell it. I was just wondering what you guys think the value of this car is ( I know how much I put in it!) so if you guys could help me with this it would be greatly appreciated.

I dont want to sound like a jerk, my ex tried to make me get rid of my Camaro, thank god I didnt, she is long gone now and made some bad judegment calls, thank god I didnt listen to her about selling the car
I mean if you are that hard up or can use the money towards a major home improvement that you both want or to buy your first house or something do it, but she should know, like or at the very least respect that you have your own hobbies and interest, ie are into cars
We just celebrated our 20 year anniversary yesterday and I'm here to tell you that if my wife "made me" do anything I didn't want to do, we would not have made it this far. It sounds like you have a real nice car there and I would hate to see you lose it due to the demands of your wife.
That being said, post some pictures and we can better help you come up with an approximate value.

I agree with the others, sounds like its time for a new wife. However sinec you asked what your car might be worth, without pics its hard to tell. If you can post some good pics that the details well we can give you a ballpark. Based on what you have said your sounds like a desireable combo. I say around $15K - $20K seeing that it needs paint. Again just a ballpark based on what you have said so far.
I don't think your wife is "making" you do anything of the sort. I think she's just making your life miserable by bitching and you're tired of hearing it.
Sell the car and she'll find something else to bitch about.
This is one of the funniest threads I have read in a while. Looks like OP just signed up today and didn't get an appropriate welcome. Although I am on my second wife and would probably leave her if she ever dare tried to "make me" get rid of something I loved (car, dog, etc), I am hoping that the OP used the term "making me sell it" as possibly an exageration. reading between the lines, my guess would be that he is getting tired of the work and she pushed some and now he wants to sell. If that isn't the case, I agree with other posters above. Either way, would be great to see some pics of the car and the wife
My wife has no interest in my car whatsoever. Never has in all the years we have been married, coming up on 25. She would never make me sell it or never complains on how much I do to it or spend on it. She always knows where I am. I agree with others. You are in for a long road if she is really "making" you sell it.
Pictures of car and wife would certainly make the decision easier. Also don't drive on those old tires if you say they are the originals. They won't last but a mile or so at speed.
I would just like to pipe in here and say that my HUSBAND hates my car (and it's not even done yet). Some people. Fortunately he's not in a position to make me sell #%$#%.
She's probably never seen a nice finished one. And if yours appears crappy to her (bad paint, etc) you can't expect her to warm to it. According to Magrath's Law (women are attracted to shiney things.....diamonds, jewellry, new cars, shoes, etc) she should fall in love with the car when it's done. Borrow a nice one and let her see the potential. My wife has TWICE hated what I was restoring, only to like them when they were shiney.
Since no one else has an answer, just personal bashing, I think if it has a nice original interior, a solid frame and no body damage (needs paint), you should be able to get 15-20k IMO.
