Default 100 salvage corvette auction (mostly C3s) Forest City, NC 11/05/11

Stumbled across this on facebook. 100 salvage corvettes up for auction in Forest City, NC on November 5, 2011. Most are C3s and a few C4s from the pictures. Cars were stored in a dry warehouse which is always a plus.

"Mr. Charlie Brown is devoting his time and efforts to other business ventures and has commissioned Whittington Auction & Apraisal LLC to sell at ABSOLUTE AUCTION over 100 salvage Corvettes. Year models range from 1968 to 1990. Cars will be sold on bill of sale only, no titles will be transfered. All cars were inspected by the NC Department of Motor Vehicles prior to this sale. Most vehicles were insurance salvage. Plenty of good frames, birdcages, some trailing arms, calipers, differentials, etc. A few of the cars still retain complete running gears. Auctioneer and seller reserve the right to add or delete items from this sale.

A local vendor will have a fork lift on site to assist you with loading your purchases, if so needed. He will be charging $25.00 CASH per vehicle for his services."

Begins: Saturday, November 05, 2011 at 10:00 AM EDT

Location: 610 Old Caroleen Rd, Forest City, NC 28043

I wish I had a barn to put this stuff in. Hell it would be fun just to walk through there.

Interesting. The auctioneer is a very well known NCRS member and former regional director.

Ahhhh.... didn't notice. But he displays his auctioneer credentials openly/all the time so it is not surprising.

Since he (and his wife) are sort of 68 experts maybe I shouldn't go expecting to find some 68 "treasures".

I would love to build a trailer for the 68 from the rear of another. I saw one when I was a kid, and thought it was so cool!

Dick is being very open with what's going across the block. Feel free to contact him for details.

Move the beer fridge in there and just sit there and drink and think up a new project!

Technically these aren't "cars" Just "parts" ... it says no titles.
