I remember the Dynacor name. I have to check, but I think they did Corvette brakes years ago. I'll check around this weekend and see what I may still have from them. I may have a contact name for someone still in the hobby, who was involved with Dynacor.

If it raced (wheel to wheel) in SCCA it would have a number stamped into the roll cage in the area behind the drivers left shoulder, the first half of the number will be the SCCA region who first issued the log book (I`m assuming you don`t have a little blue SCCA log book like the one below?) the second half is a consecutive number within that region, there should also be a 3/16 hole used to determine roll bar thickness. If you can come up with that number I can tell you which SCCA region originally registered that car.

The seller bought the car from the widow of the driver.
What he told me is the driver (Grumpy) drove the car in scca series from 74-80. Dynacor gave him the car. Grumpy raced the car in the vintage series up to 2003.
Grumpy died shortly after. Grumpy had a helper at his shop. Approx 3600 sqft steel building full of race engines, transmissions and this car. Three perlings filled with trophy's. Widow gave everything in shop to helper. The helper wasn't a driver and sold the car to the person I bought it from. Seller only wanted car to make a drag car out of it. He didn't repaint the car or change suspension.
I have googled dynacor corvette and can't find anything about the car, dynacor, or the driver.
So i'm here.

Well, I was right that a company named Dynacor was in the business of rebuilding Corvette brake calipers. They're still around, but changed their name about 15-20 years ago, when the partners in the company split up.
Unfortunately, this car was not connected to them in any way that I can tell. First off, their name was spelled Dynacore, with the "e" on the end, not Dynacor. Also, in talking to them, I found that they never were involved in sponsoring any race cars, though they had some customers who put their name on cars, as a thank you.
Where is the car located? Knowing this, might help in tracking down some history.
I'm sorry that I couldn't be of more help with the Dynacor name.

Thank you for the info.
The car is in Texas now. The driver's name on the top of the car is Grumpy. The car came out of Oklahoma.
The SCCA number in the roll bar is from the Millwaukee region.

That's interesting, as Dynacore was in Texas.
Have you reached out to the Milwaukee Region yet? Someone in the region, may know or remember the car or a driver called "Grumpy", or may be able to direct you to someone who did.
If that car was first presented for tech to the Milwaukee Region, it would probably have been raced at Road America. A lot of Corvettes raced there over the years. The SCCA National race held there every summer, "The June Sprints", was one of the biggest SCCA non-pro series races of the year. There was always a large Corvette Corral, at The June Sprints. In the 60's & 70's, the track cross over bridge was known as the "Corvette Bridge", because Chevrolet sponsored it, and it always had a Corvette logo on it. The June Sprints were always covered in the Chevrolet magazine, Corvette News, with lots of pictures and coverage of the races.
If I get a chance in the next couple days, I'll look through some of my old Corvette News. Maybe there will be something about a Grumpy racing a Corvette, in one.
