Does anyone know where the "catch" is located in the seatback release for a '73? The button on the drivers seat seems to be permanently depressed and I can't release the seat to tilt forward anymore. Where to start?
Have you tried pushing BACK on the seat back and pushing the button, (even though you say it's already depressed)? This happened to mine once and while pushing quite hard on the button and pushing moderately on the seat back, it finally released.
On my 68 the seat back is one piece plactic and comes off easy.
Slide the seat all the way forward remove back and find out what is sticking.
Sometime a little lube does wonders. Who remembers to sparay their seat hardware.

The 73's don't have a plastic seat back (it's all vinyl back there) ...wish it did, so I could access something to fix it.
My 73 with it's original seats, DOES have a large plastic, removable panel on the back of the seat back. Not much to see when it's removed, but non the less....
