I would consider $25 - $30K AUD a reasonable price here in Australia for a 68 - 72 chrome bumper car in ok/driver condition even if it is not numbers matching (doesn't seem to mean as much over here). www.carsales.com.au always has a good range to judge local prices by.
One thing if you do end up buying something not in the country is make sure it is absolutely what you are wanting for your money and it ticks all the boxes for you. Nothing worse than purchasing the car and in the intervening few months while you wait for it to arrive you start wishing you had have got one with "X" feature that you have come across.

Around $30K for a good/ok driver stock SB is what it costs here for a 68-72.
That's what I bought so I could learn about these cars.
It's been great, nothing like owning an HQ GTS Holden at all.
I have been thinking about selling and trading up to a higher dollar BB car now that I know more about them.
Lot's of long term members of my local club say your first purchace should be a stock SB here in Australia where you can see it in person.
I have heard of too many dollars spent importing a car, then going over the pits getting it sorted for the local laws.
I thought I would buy mine already registered in SA to save any rego dramas with a import car. It has worked out well.
