Glossy questions
Hey Guys,
How can I get my Corvette to look like these cars? Are these special paint jobs or good swirl removers and waxes?
If they are products, what should I buy?
(highjacked from yellow1980 - I was looking for some good examples and these popped up)
I own a 1980 Yellow Corvette.
Thanks.

I've been using Zaino products with (IMO) great results.

I've tried everything over the years. Zaino will give you that wet look. Nice array of products that are easy to use once you are familiar with them.
Try the Clear Sealant followed by Z8 Grand Finale
Z6 is a nice Quick detailer.

Claybar the whole car by hand, wash with Dawn dishwashing detergent, and use the Zaino multi-step process. (Other manufacturers offer multi-step products as well.) The key is the time-consuming claybar process. But once done, it is done for quite some time. You will be surprised how much surface grit/contamination it removes. Follow the instructions carefully.

new paint helps a bunch. you can buff your car or wet sand the car to remove all the ugly stuff. then wax, wax...

There's a bit more to it than a paint sealer alone can provide. These cars have received hundreds of hours of hand preparation before, during and after paint to make their surfaces as straight and smooth as glass... that's the real secret to achieving the depth of image and reflectivity these cars exhibit. It's meticulous attention to detail at every step of the process; and that does include post paint maintenance for sure. I guarantee none of the cars shown got a Maaco Presidential Special respray.

Not yet. I will get to it soon. Been doing a lot of traveling for research and then coupling it with some pleasure traveling while I am out and about.
