Sold the 82 tonight
I was at a show at the local Chevy dealer Saturday for the Chevrolet 100th and was made an offer I couldn't refuse. We closed the deal tonight. I would like to thank the members of this forum that provided me with tech tips, parts, and encouragement. I've spent the better part of a year getting this car perfected and now she's living with someone else. I did learn a lot about the workings of the C3, more than I knew when I had my 82 CE back in the 80's. I would also like to thank the many Corvette vendors as I believe I used them all. I would like to single out Zip Products and Willcox Corvette for providing good prices and great technical articles. I'll still lurk this area and I'm not Vetteless. I still have my 2006 convertible. Thanks again to everyone.
Congrats on the sale Tally Ho. A price you cannot refuse is a great number. I think good karma has come back around to you as I have seen the support you have given other forum members including myself. I still have the center caps you gave me for free on my '81. We look forward to hearing about your next Corvette when it happens!

The new owner is happy and I'm happy. I didn't make a killing but I didn't lose anything either. I bought it last year from a forum member and put some work and parts into it to bring it up to my standards. My intention was to keep it as a cruiser and show it. The new owner wanted it for the same purpose and made me an offer. He now has a road ready, nearly new 82 with 29K miles on it.

Thanks for sharing the # with us. Must have been tough to let her go but you are probably in the 2% of the C3 population that ever bought a vette, got to enjoy it then sold it and didn't lose money.
