I used a smaller version of the one pictured, I think the one pictured was a brake light. They are called SMD LED's (surface mounted diodes I think) I got them from a vendor on the CF but I think hes no longer a vendor, I had a positive experience with him but I heard a lot of negative, so I wouldn't feel comfortable telling you to go to him. Ill look around and see what I can find
also, redson, if you are planning on doing this, keep in mind that I used WHITE SMD LED's for my dash, the dash background is blue apparently, I always though it was green, (yellow old bulbs + blue background = green light), the light blue display was a surprise to me, but I still like it, if you want the stock color, you might try a couple yellow bulbs and see how that looks

OK,thanks! As for pointing someone in the direction of who sold me my "bolt-in,plug-n-play" LED tailites. Not only were they not easy to install,I havent found the supplier on eBay lately either.Had to carve up the tail lite holes,& yes,I lost the back-up lites.I did however retain back-up lites,by installing a license plate frame with 6 brite white LEDs on each side.PLENTY bright enough.I feel they help with seeing backing up,but the main thing, everyone else can see Im backing up as well

ones like these should fit into your original housing, just ebay your bulb number and "SMD LED" so it looks like this: #### SMD LED and you should get ones that will fit with no modifications

White T10 9-SMD 5050 LED 168 194 W5W #8 2pcs 12 volt are these compatible with what you used??
I am watching this thread with hopes the OP will show pics of the lights where 'you can't see the LEDS' as he stated.
all the other posts of LEDS show pics of the LEDS that are quite obvious.. it is one of the reasons that I don't like the LEDS. sure they are nice and bright, but they are kind of ugly and so obviously custom on a car where I prefer something closer to original looking...

I find I can get great deal at this place. Many of the products have buyer review too, which helps set expectations... http://s.dealextreme.com/search/t10
Pics are a pain in the ***, and won't do this topic justice...
What? You have been a member since 2003. You have had to notice that about half of the threads on here have pictures. Without them they would be extremely difficult to understand most.
Plus, you idea of awesome could be someone's else's idea of disgusting.
Pictures are worth a 1000 words. ---> this statement exists for a reason.
this will tell you ever bulb number in the car, then just ebay or google an SMD LED version of that bulb for a direct drop in replacement

Yes, you will need an electronic flasher, I picked one up from Auto Zone for 5-6 bucks, or you can put in line resistors in each turn signal line, which is a way bigger PITA than just spending a couple bucks extra

OK you knwo this question is going to come.....What headlights are those ? ? a
and how did you mount the PIAA's I have n=bene wanting to install something to assist my old school light ? ?
When I Was at SEMA a few weeks ago. I was almost blinded with some LED's that were the smallest lights I have ever seen...
THanks in advance.....Looks cool

redson, what brand of headlights are those and did you have to o any modifications?
ptroxx, any info on those led's you saw at SEMA?
Well, believe it or not,I got them -the halo headlites-off eBay quite awhile ago,& contrary to their statement saying they were an easy bolt-in,...surprise!!...they were anything but. I dont recommend them, even though I cant find them anymore,to anyone, because the headlight buckets have to be cut out so the lites can fit back in far enough to be mounted,& the connection provided that you slide into the bulb socket didnt fit.
