Default Best Car Cover

Hey Guys,

I need to purchase a car cover for my Corvette. It is a 1980, yellow.

I went to Walcox and saw they had 3 different choices, but two were drastically different in price. So I need opinions and links to suggested purchases.

I would like to order one today if I can so that I may capitalize on Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals.

It will be stored in a non-heated garage this winter. Next year it may be stored outside only as I will be moving and wont' have a garage. I haven't decided how it will work yet, but I want to plan for the worst.

I really don't want to spend a great deal of money. If we can keep it around 200 or under, that would be great.

Thank you.

My two are by Wolf and they're good quality. Whatever you decide to purchase needs to be breathable fabric.

Any concerns?

It says breathable, but how can that be if it is waterproof too?

Thanks. Its also a good thing I waited until Cyber Monday as the deal was even better than the Thanksgiving day sale.

I am not sure about these. But the service guys at Empire were really helpful in answer in my questions and helping me pick the right cover for my situation. I doubt their sale is still going, but I would give them a call and see how you feel about them.

By far California Car Covers are the best! They garuntee all their work and right now have free shipping. They can even cutomize the cover for any modifications you may have made. (Blower, Flares, Different hood) Price wise, they are a little more expensive, but you can choose from like 10 different materials for different aplications that range in price. I believe their most expensive material is $300. Not too bad of an investment if it protects it. I just ordered a cover from them and should be recieving it on Monday. I'll post pics. They ahd to do a lot of custom work. All custom work is only $30 dollars. Check them out: http://calcarcover.com/

I have a 1969 with L-88 flair. Do they have a car cover that will cover a car with fender flairs?

Waterproof -- meaning no water gets in or out -- is actually a bad thing. Moisture trapped against your paint will eventually discolor the paint.

Breathable means the cover will repel most water, but will also allow trapped moisture to evaporate.

My car has flares, and they are widening the cover for it. It is an extra $30 for any and all custom changes. My buddy has a custom car trailer that he built himself and they made a cover for him. They will make a cover for anything. They have some premade covers, but are mostly made when you order it. You tell them what kind of car you have, then they ask what material you want, and then if you have any modifications to apply to it.

I ordered the Empire "Titan", received it, installed it on the car.

The fit is horrible. It's like it wasn't made for the car at all. Front to back isn't bad, but there is so much extra material that the sides drag the ground.

Customer service has been a problem too. Call and leave a message, then hope that you're around when, or if, someone calls you back? Not impressed.

At this point I cannot recommend them.....

Default For anyone looking for a great cover!

Well, I just got in my cover today from California Car Covers. It came out awesome and the fit is just right. The pockets for the blower and side mirrors are in the perfect spot. I will upload some pics of the cover on the car in a little bit. DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED
