I can't speak for '73 hubs, but I had what I thought was a wheel balance problem with my new wheels. Our CNC machinist son made me a set of 3/8"-thick hub centric rings for my BOSS 338 wheels given the ID and OD. That fixed the problem. Note however, that the ID on my '80 is slightly different between front and rear adaptor rings. I measured the rear hub diameter at 2.75" and the front hub at 2.8", and I measured the ID of my BOSS 338's at 3.25".
I just checked Ecklers. It looks like the same rear hub was used from '65-82 and the same front hub was used from '69-82, so the specs I measured on my '80 should be close enough to make some rings for your '73.
