50-60 miles per charge and 15 sec 1/4 mile times! At least move the motor into the trans tunnel and fill under the hood with more batteries. Should be the talk of the golf course though.

A few years back a guy did one with a red C3.

Imagine battery packs that will fit in the same space as the gas tank and motors with a yoke on the end.

I'm sure it doesn't sound as good as a rumbling big block.

I wouldn't do this to a C3... but I was just telling my wife yesterday that my next project car will be an Electric... I was thinking Fiero though... or MR2.. something light and sporty should do 90mph and only cost $4200 for all of the parts, which means it would pay for this self in one year VS driving my truck.

Great thing about electric is the Torque curve... or should I say LINE... 100% all the time!!!

An electric C3?.....thats about as wrong as two boys screwing in church. The C3 represents the last vestige of an American dream...gluttony, audacity and the blending of poor quality control and mass consumerism....

An electric C3...thats like turning Ellis Island into a housing development
An electric C3...thats like turning the NFL into a flag football league
An electric C3...thats like putting a doggy sweater on your pit bull
An electric C3...thats just....that just....wrong.....

I remember a guy that put a 4 cylinder in a C-3 back in the late 70's during the oil crunch. One fellow referred to it as a real white elephant.

Yeah seems wrong but after reading up on a members conversion on his C4 and the amount of torque they make. Holy smokes, put a diesel to shame.

Huge potential to go fast. Wouldnt do it myself but still intriguing.

Search for MoBandy very comprehensive write up.

No smog either
