My 77 needed new master cylinder--so opted for the chrome look.

Brakes are unbelievable now...kinda freaked me out thinking I was driving around over the last couple months. Also if you look closely you can see the new washer reservoir and neck that was put in while the cylinder and booster were out---dont know how you would do that otherwise!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looking great! You've been busy since it came home. Keep it up.

Thanks! Got some suspension plans after all the discussion/advice. Hopefully will post some pics in the months to come. Lucky for me I am in AZ where we ride and work all winter long without problems!

Nice upgrades. Nothing like vette brakes when they are working correctly.

Nice! Where'd you get the master cylinder AND what did you use for a new washer reservoir? Mine is leaking and I should probably do something about it.

I didn't have a huge amount of trouble replacing my washer reservior and neck with the master cylinder on, I just went up from underneath after removing the splash shield. As far as your M/C goes, chrome is not my cup of tea, but it does look nice. Congrats on the "new" brakes.

"chrome won't get you home" was an excuse made up by someone who couldn't afford it.

Or someone that got tired of polishing it! It's pretty, but I prefer as little chrome as I can get away with.

I had a 15% coupon for Ecklers and they had the master cylinder/booster chrome combo. Usually 399 so whatever that works out to. Think I got the washer cap there too.

Paragon had the reservoir, neck, and motor (mine was long gone). Still need a few hoses and connectors and the lever for the steering column-which should be on the way from Paragon as well.

Again, it seems impossible to change that reservoir without have the booster out---so it worked out great for me.

I have owned the 77 since August and I think I am already out of money!!

I would like to spiff up the engine compartment in looks (and horsepower) however that is going to take some time. I had to get the brakes done so the chrome was a little way to make the car look a little sharper.

dropping $100 at an autoparts store is nothing on these cars. And you're on the right track by working the whoa before the go.

Shiny parts under the hood are basic to hot rodders and car lovers in general. The more the better. Just be careful about the quality of the part.

As for the exterior; tasteful chrome helps make the paint "pop". I like the way the chrome grill covers and the chrome gas tank lids look.

I will probably add some of these changes to my ride soon too.
