There have been posts looking for 77 & not finding any for sale.
77 was the last year of original 68 Design CORVETTE called the Wildest production car Detroit has ever built!
I was already building engines (10 sec. BB street legal) so to me it was get a great body & chassis (FE-7) & build an engine for it.

I'm just being a smarta$$. Of course they made Corvettes in 1983 - they just called them 84s.

Dash, gauges, glovebox door panels are all from a later vette.Having power door locks in a '77 is nice but really out of place.
Pics will be forthcoming after the holidays.

Thats the one thing I would change, the map pocket to a Glove box. It's a pain to reach around/behind to get to the storage trays in the back. The map pocket looks good. But is useless to me.

That actually sounds pretty cool. Would love to see it. Thats one thing I don't like...no glove box. But it does look good though.

Even though you cant call the 8 track tape holder much of a glove box either.

Power door locks sounds cool too. If everything was done right it sounds like some nice mods...cant wait to see pics

77 Was the year the man who invented "STINGRAY" Retired. So in memory of him they dropped the name. It's the only year/style with out the name. In 78 they changed to the bubble back. Am I correct on this guys??? No take it back I believe there was a year in the late 60's that the name dropped, then when it apperared again it was one word instead of two.

when people ask me if the "Stingray" is mine. i always answer, "Well, it was the only year model without the "Stingray" designation, but yes, it's the same body style as the Stingrays."

It's getting easier to just say "yes". I'm getting a little tired of explaining to people that otherwise would not care.
