Ru$t, in the birdcage and frame, any other problems are pretty easy to fix compared to these two item$, clean title, Good luck in your search.
Peace,,, moosie
Yes i agree with moosie, there is lot's of information on here in regard's what to look for when shopping for a C3.
As mention rust, read the information on here about the bird cage, where to look and investigate these problem area's, will be beneficial to you in your search for a sound C3.
A '78? Besides the frame and birdcage issues let's take it one step further... worn suspension bushings and rear spring spacers. I finished tearing down an '80 and rust and bushings were my big issues.
If you don't know what the bird cage is then run a search and there is tons of info on it. Do your research on here before buying. A '78 is a relatively inexpensive C3 and is a good car to get into the hobby with just make sure that you don't over pay. Buy one in the best condition you can afford vs. a fixer upper and you will come out ahead.
'78 and later weren't know for their power. Decide whether you want a stock car or one that has had an engine replacement/upgrade. All the little things will add up and get expensive so be sure you get the type of car that you want to end up with or it can become a real money pit.
There are lot's of them out there to choose from so don't get hung up on just one.
