Default Rpo code help

Hello everyone,
from my tank sticker I'm trying to find my rear gear ratio.
What ratio was 02G81CA?
I know it was a posi traction (G81)
Not sure what the CA equates to in a ratio.
I just can't read the type after posi traction ......
I know when its warmer I can climb underneath and
get the 2 letter code.
I also thought the tank sticker had it listed.
Any one with same or that knows can you let me know?
Thanks,
Marshal

Yes...G81 is the RPO for positraction. The gear would have been an additional RPO and should be listed on your build sheet. I believe it would have been listed above the G81 RPO

Not sure what the CA equates to in a ratio.
CA is the exception control letter (ECL) and provided the factory worker with additional part selection for a particular RPO...as I recall. CA was probably called out for a particular gear ratio but you still need the gear RPO

AXLE

You must be in Alaska!

On the same line, out to the right of the 02G81CA code, your should see POSITRACTION AXLE and the ratio listed. Might be difficult to read, but it should be there.

It's on this one, but a little hard to read. 3.08:1

Mike
Thanks that is what I was hoping someone here could verify.
I figured it for 3.08:1 because at 2000 rpms I'm at 50 mph in 4th gear on an M20 trans.
Life just got good
