Im in the process of selling my jeep, i have it advertised for $4000. Someone recently offered me a trade for his 1973 project. From the details he gave me, it needs the interior put back in, and some engine work. But the car does come with the original engine/trans and another engine that was bored .60 over and another trans. These are the pics he sent me, not the greatest but its all i have at the moment. Do you guys think i should trade or pass?

It depends on several things including how deep your pockets are and what your skill level is. Personally I'd be tempted because it would be a play toy like my current C3. I would have no interest in "restoring" something for tens of thousands of dollars that may only net 15k-19k at best when done. Car Craft magazine recently tried to coin the term "rat machine" for what I'm doing to mine. I prefer the term "Industrial Hot Rod". Many of the purist here would puke and call it "bubba'd' but I see no reason to sink loads of cash into my toy other than the drive train. That is how I would do that 73. Primer/satin black and a LS or stroker with some nasty unbaffled sidepipes. To heck with the interior as long as it had one. No worry about chipping the paint. It's raw and looks kinda like a project but I guarantee you will get the most conversation at the car meets. That's because it will be closest to a true American hot rod as opposed to a religious relic that many of these cars become (remember Ferris Bueller's Day off? "My dad loves this car more than life it self" response..." A man with such warped priority's doesn't deserve such a fine automobile").
I agree with Dose. It looks like the original color might be a medium blue. You could take a pressure washer to the engine to clean it up a bit...and maybe to the white paint too.
I think there is an early 80's nose on that car. Having the original powertrain is a plus.
If it runs and drives that would go a long way towards a decision, but my gut tells me to run away.
Just from the single picture of your Jeep I would keep your Jeep and get cash for it. That Corvette needs a ton of work. The only thing worst about doing an interior on one is not being the person that pulled it out. That '73 is a $1500 car as-is. I am sure your Jeep is worth a lot more.

The car looks to be worth about 2K if the frame and birdcage are good.
That's if you want, or can afford to dump another 20+K into it.
After that, it will be worth about 15K; and it won't have 4 wheel drive.
I feel like your Jeep could get more than 4k...if the rest of it looks as good.
Unless there is something seriously wrong with your Jeep, you would be getting the short end of the stick. He would hop in the Jeep and drive it and enjoy it...doesnt look to be the case with the vette
But then again...if you want a Vette project...and the frame and birdcage are not shot...then go head. It's your money
