76 carpet
I am replacing carpet on my 76 and was wondering if you are supposed to cut out the area of carpet in the seat belt I am thinking yes unless there is some kind of plate that covers that part. Willcox corvette was checking on it but was not sure. Anyone have any input? Thanks in advance!

The AIM shows to cut the carpet and then put the plate over the edges. I chose to put the plate down first then cover it with carpet. I ran the belt thru a slit in the carpet.
Also, the AIM shows to cut around the seat track feet, but I chose not to. I think it looks cleaner the way I did it.
