Default Pull the trigger on wheels?

OK, I can't decide whether I should go for it. $1,400 coy 18 x 8 c5's polished or black with 245 tires mounted, shipped to my door.1500 for 255's in the rear. Sale ends February 15th. Do I go for it or do I wait for a used set?

What car you putting them on? I have to say I am not a big fan of the C5 wheels on a C3. That being said I would have a hard time buyin them new?

I'm not one for used much of anything...especially something THAT specific. You'll be waiting until we land on Mars.

And judging by the 'over the top' nature of your car, with the chrome sidepipes and standard window chrome, I would go with the all chrome wheel, probably.

The black would look good on a car with a little lower profile...a little more murdered out or 'stock with a kick'. You're WAAAAAY beyond that, me thinks.

Pretty rim, though. Should look good.

If that's what you're looking for and it's in your price range then I guess you can consider it a good deal. It's hard to comment on the "package" price without knowing what tires are included. Lets face it there is a big price difference depending on what brand tire you are choosing. As far as used goes you always get the chance to save money if the wheels are in good shape (no bends or curb rash) and tires are fairly new.

Well i can go with either black or polished, they''ll be the same price. Im not buying used, this is the price from Coy itself. Wondering if people know of better deals.

They look a lot like the Boss 338 wheels. The Boss 338 Wheels are way cheaper too, and also come in black, chrome, or gun powder grey. Have you considered them?

$1400 for front and ANOTHER $1500 for the rear? I'm assuming it's just an extra $100 if you go with a wider rear, right?
$1500 is a good price if they come with a decent sticky tire. I'd still shop around but they seem to be right in the ballpark for that size.

So I think I'm gonna go for it, just need to decide on the color. Either black or polished. Would love to hear your opinions.

Black:

Default Here is some advice

Polished if you keep the chrome side pipes.

Black if you coat the side pipes in black ceramic.

There, I said it.

Go 18 x 9 with the 275 in the rear with a 5" backspacing.

Go with the 18 x 8 with the 4.5" backspacing and a 245 in the front, then get yourself a couple 1" wheel adapters. That will put the tire right at the inner edge of your wheel lip and look spectacular.

We trimmed Terry's rear 9-leaf spring and re-drilled the holes for the bolts. We put new coils on the front and cut one complete coil off.
