Were all of the Air Intake Ducts that sit on top of the radiator and go into the air cleaner the same from 1976 to 1982? What about the L 48 engines? That is what I have. Thanks for any help.

No there are slight variations. 1976 to 1978 L 48, engines used a single duct, not sure of the part number but i believe they are the same. 1978 L 82 and 1979 L48 and L 82, used the dual duct system, the duct on the radiator is GM # 472711. 1980 and 1981 again all used the dual duct system but the duct over the radiator is slightly different, GM part # 14016116. 1982 was totally different with all having throttle body injection.

and have no reason not to...
BTW...is that Corvette Kitty from the Myrtle Beach Corvette Club who ran around in a yellow 1977?
Yep. Part of the 10 HP increase from 78 to 79 on the L48s.
I've read that the fresh air snorkel adds 5hp to a vehicle. Not really sure if one snorkel or two would make any difference. There must have been something else going on between 78 and 79. Cam maybe? Carb difference?
