there's many posts about doing this. the two ideas i liked were using a plastic bag to help sliding the skin over the foam, and using plastic wire ties to help draw the skin down to the frame. save yourself $500.

I just did the foam in both seats and replaced the cover on the driviers side.
Corvette America supplied the foam, covers, springs and tools. Plus they have a video on their site.
You should look at them and simialar vendors that can do your seats or supply parts.

The only special tool required for 1968 to 1977 seats is a pair of hog ring pliers. They are available from any vendor you might use for coves and foam, and there areseveral threads here with good photo "how to" instructions. If you are capable of removing the 8 bolts which hold your seats in... you can do this. Later seats I have no experience with but how hard can it be????

Rarely takes more than a couple of weeks but obviously depends upon vendor.

What do they say when you ask them? Are they close enough that you can drive to their shop? I'm thinkin' I'd want my stuff back- NOW.
