Default lights

Yesterday after installing a new shifter console I noticed my speed, tach, instrument cluster, and shifter lights were out. Fuse is ok and all other lights work including fasten seat belt etc. i'm stumped . its almost as if the pot in the on off switch is bad.... any thoughts?

sounds like a loose ground or the headlight switch.

I checked the fuse and don't have any voltage there ..shouldn't I? The passenger courtesy light works and dims when you turn the light switch. Fasten seat belt light works etc. tried moving around wire harness to see if I could get lights for a moment-nothing. I don't have a schematic so am limited to what to check next.

I think the feed to that fuse comes from the headlight switch when it is pulled out.
Do your driving lights work ?
I had to replace my headlight switch because the dash lights and driving lights didn't work.
I had installed a new switch but it was defective.
