Default Power window help needed

Rebuilding an 82 and Im having an issue with the power windows..
At first, prior to installing the rattle cushions the windows would work until they were raised or lowered all of the way. I installed the rattle cushions and now the windows will only go up a fraction and blow the fuse. Im pretty sure the fuse blowing is a result of being under a load. I have after market window relays with a painless wiring harness. Im trying to figure out where to start for one. My guess is that the relay is insufficient does anyone have the specs? Are there different specs? Am I looking at the wrong thing first? I have the polarity reversing relay at this web address. http://www.watsons-streetworks.com/relays.html . Thanks guys.

If you're blowing a fuse, you're drawing too much current. I doubt the relay is an issue. I'd expect the windows to not operate at all if the relay was bad, most likely burnt out contacts if the relay was under-rated.

My first guess would be lubrication. If the windows weren't going to full travel before, adding new anti rattle cushions made it worse, it sounds like there may be too much drag or an issue with the motor. Did you thoroughly clean the tracks, rollers, etc and regrease? The grease drys up over time. Are all the rollers free? Some may seize up with rust. I've seen manual windows become stiff for these reasons, either lube or seized rollers.

Did you try it with the anti rattle bumpers loosened? May be a hint whether it's wiring or mechanical.

Only way I've thought of where the relay itself may be an issue would be if it had 'make before break' contact design where two sides may be momentarily shorted while the relay is changing state. Doesn't seem likely if they're made for power windows.

Could be electrical but I'd rule out lube or stuck rollers first...

My passenger door motor was blowing fuse on a regular basis and could barely lift the window without help.
This is in my lastest post on my resto thread
Turned out to be Bubba's fault:
