Have been here for several years and been addicted to the site. I find myself constantly checking in throughout the day to see new posts.
I bought my 81 a few months back and while I enjoyed it I just didn't love it like I did my first c3. My wifes health just isn't what it used to be and I dont get enough time to really enjoy it so I sold it today.
Ill miss owning one and will probably get back into one when I retire. Until then I will just have to admire them from a distance. The hardest part will be not coming into the forum anymore.
For all those who have helped me over the years I'd like to say thank you.this forum was priceless. I hope that I was able to contribute and help others during my time here.

Sorry to hear of your troubles, hope all goes well. Remember, you can always come onto the forum and just look around, and post, you don't need a car for that.

oldsarge is correct. There are probably more than you/we know on here that are between Vettes right now. Point being, we all have the same passion for the C3's. You don't have to physically have one in your garage to jump in and shoot the crap with all that do. further more, there are those of us that may need some of your experience based information from time to time.
Too bad you could not finish that convertible conversion. That was your passion and dream. Never thought you'd be satisfied owning someone else's project.

Just because you don't currently have one doesn't mean you are no longer a Corvette guy. Keep looking up (and forward to getting back into one you really love down the road), and in the mean time don't be a stranger.

Sorry about the Vette going away but "Family First"! Don't be a stranger - the door will always be open!

Still a great bunch of guys in here so why go at all? You don't have to own a vette to drop in, read the posts, and even join in some chatting.
i can understand you not wanting to be checking the forum b/c it only fuels your want for another vette.? Still you should check in as often as you can. i gladly take all the help i can get and if you can help me or others i would hate to see ya go. good luck and best wishes for your wife
Milo buddy! I understand about your moving on. Please stop back and say howdy or pm me every once in a while and let me know how things are going.
Take Care! John

If you ever want to hang around some C3s or C3 guys you can always post up on the North Texas C3 group post. We are always doing something corvette related.
As mentioned, there's no rule that says you need to own a Vette, to be on this forum. Truth is, I don't presently own a C3 either, but a good wrench, and help several of my friends out. My present Vette's a C6 ZO6, and much to do on that one, except oil, changing over to track tires, and maybe brakes. Stick around.
I wish nothing but the best for you and your wife! Cars are great and a huge part of our lives for a lot of us, but I am sure all of us would also trade up to concentrate on what really matters when god forbid the situation presents itself.
There are plenty of cars out there, so I am sure when your wife is feeling better and you have more time, you guys will hunt down another Corvette to buy and enjoy.
I can understand. I have a very addictive personality too, and been there many times. I quit facebook because I was addicted to it. You can just make it a point to check it twice a week or so, but that is easier said than done (because of our addictive ways).
Thanks guys. I will stop by now and again but I have to break the habit of multiple times every day. I don't want to regret the decision.
Clubby a lot of what you said is true. I liked the car but want on love with it because it wasn't exactly what I had in mind. If I had more time to drive it I would have kept it. My job has me traveling everyday to many parts of the world and there just isn't enough time left to recuperate and have the hobby.
I'll get an rv so me and my wide can spend more time together when I am home and maybe years down the road i will find me a 69 to enjoy when I have the time to give it.
I even sold off all my major tools, equipment, compressor and all. I was afraid that I would change my mind when I sold it but I am happy with my decision.
I'll remember the good times when I see you guys driving down the road. I will be back in and out of here.
Seventysixvette. I enjoyed the messages and all the help you have me. Hope everything has worked out on your car. Ill keep in touch.
