I bet if you went into a parking lot and checked the tires on 100 cars from '00 and older, half would be riding on tires far older than 7 years.

This guy finds tires that are under 5 years old and have been stored inside and people act like they're a death sentence. I'd be more worried about a hidden stress crack within a 40 year old frame giving away catastrophically vs. a low mileage 10 year old tire letting go.

Oh but the manufacturers say 7 years! Can you say "cover your ***" and "buy new tires" in the same sentence? Win/Win situation for profits.

Seriously...most collector cars like C3s are stored inside, summer use only and don't get driven much. Are you guys REALLY throwing away your low mileage tires every 5 to 7 years and buying new? Do you also do the same with your soft suspension parts, brake hoses, fuel lines, rag joint and anything else that can cause loss of control or fire?

Watch this video and check the date codes, and then ask yourself what they are worth.

Default Tires

The video is what it is but I will never trust ABC when all they ever want is more government intervention. Give me all the information and I will make a well informed decision.

I am pretty sure this is the same ABC that staged the exploding vehicles. Might have been another network. A difference without distinction.

The two things I most distrust, government telling me they are here to help and the "main stream" news telling me what I should know.

The Eagle GT IIs have a manufactured date of 1207 or the 12th week of 2007.

Ohh Boy, a news article on network TV. Never any sensationalism there. Could care less.

Less than five years old and safely stored. Go ahead and use them. About $50.00 each would be a good price.

You have it right!

ABC was the network that did the "BS expose" about the exploding Chevy/GMC truck fuel tanks....
