Open your pictures in Paint (MS program that comes with windows)
Click the "resize" button and resize down to you hit what you want. Then save it as PICTURENAMEsmall so you don;t mess up the orignal picture

Even easier solution. Google search "Windows Powertoy Image Resizer." It is a free Microsoft download. You simply right click on the image you want to resize and it gives a "resize image" selection. When you click on that selection it will give you several size choices. It saves a new image with the name modified to indicate large, med, or small. There is no need to open any other program and you can't accidently downsize your original image because you did not "save as" and rename.
