Speaker Pod Project
I found these speaker pods on ebay and decided to give them a shot instead of 6x9s, here is what I got done last night:

Cut out MDF bases for each:

Working on sealing them up and cutting out the holes for the speakers:

Hopefully I'll have time tomorrow to finish cutting the holes and throw some carpet on them.

Well I finished cutting and sealing, just waiting for carpet, here is what each side looks like:

I am pretty happy with how they turned out and they are deep enough I can mount the crossover inside of the pod.

Well the pods are finished, I coated them with rubberized undercoating to help the sound, put them in the car last night, sound improved a little over the speakers that were in there, next up is to get everything else installed.
Should hopefully have all that done by the weekend.

I got the system install finished, I am pretty happy with the sound, there isn't much bass, but its enough to get me through the summer.
I had an Alpine CD player, Alpine mini amp (45w x 4) Polk 4x6s in the dash and the Polk 6.5 component system with custom pods in the rear. Initially the 6.5s sounded like crap, I bought some vent filler and filled up the pods and they sound pretty good now.
