Temporary t-top cover
Does anybody make a quick detachable cover for T-TOPS. I can take my tops on or off in under 2 minutes but by the time I get them in the bag and in or out of the car its more like 10 minutes. If I drive to work, put them back on, take them off for lunch, put them back on, then off for the ride home, well you get the picture! I would love a cover just to keep dust, pollen or maybe a quick shower out of the car. Corvette Central has a cover but it covers the whole windshield, top and back and costs $185, thats more then my car cover and it does not look quick to install ! Anybody know of a quick , simple cover?
FYI
You need to do some research on how they are attached. The ebay ad actually tells you to use velcro, Ecklers doesn't say, Dose's were latched but more expensive. You place velcro strips on the front and rear of the t-top area. Not bad when the top is on, however you must be able to live with seeing a bunch of velcro strips there when the roof panel is off.
I saw one once and it was not a pretty sight but hey it's your car.
i have something just like this that i use when i leave the t-tops behind (like on a day when going to a show, etc). it isn't advised to drive with it it is primarily used for a quick on/off if you parked the car somewhere and left it for a short time. i use it should a sudden rain storm happen to protect the interior. if i remember correctly, i did drive home once with it in place (at a reduced speed) and while not perfect it was better than trying to make the trip without anything in the way of covering. it folds up (or more correctly it rolls up) to a pretty small package so it is easy to deal with. the one i have doesn't have any velcro for attachments. it has a foldable "frame" and latches to attach it to the original t-top mounting locations.
