Removing windshield washer tank??
My windshield washer pump went kaput on me the other day in my 82 and was able to start working on it this afternoon. Holy crap...what a pita. I did not realize as soon as you removed the pump the nut on the inside would be loose so out with the bottle to get to the nut. Has anyone done this?? My AIM and service manual does not tell on how to remove it so this is what I did. I removed it from underneath by first removing the charcoal canister then turning the bottle every which way and finally had to squeeze it through fender well and body. Is this the correct way??? Now I can't get the nut/filter to screw on to the new pump because of damaged plastic threads. Hopefully these are available. Anyway if there is a easier way to install it than through the bottom please let me know.

That is how i had to do it on my car. When i put my new bottle back in i then turned it towards the fender opening and installed the washer pump. Got a new one from Napa. then put it back in place
