Need an advice
I'm about to weld two rocker channel inserts on my 1980. I bought these inserts from Corvette Central. Since I do not work quickly and I only have a few hours available during the weekend, I wonder how long I can leave my body in this state. Both driver and passenger floor pan parts are in perfect condition and fully solid. Can I leave the body like this just sitting on both 4 X 4 under floor pans for something like a month? I took a picture to illustrate what I plan to do to from someone on the Internet. I hope that there is no copyright on the image.

I had to replace both rockers when I did mine.
I built a buck to sit the body on which sat inside the rails and on the floor pans. I also put a support across the back to support the cargo area behind the seats and one under the nose to support the front.
Be real careful when you are welding the inserts into the post. The ones at the rear of the door will get the fiberglass very hot and warp if you go to fast. I placed a couple of those freezer ice packs on that area to help remove the heat.
