Default To slow down the directionals?

I put the brighter tail light bulbs in my '68 vert, and as a result the directionals blink REALLY fast.

Am I correct to assume that I should replace the #575 flasher with a #552 flasher?

Thanks!

Those are both thermal flashers and the flash rate will vary with the number of bulbs and the total amperage draw.

I always use a Tridon EL12 or equal which is an electromechanical flasher that doesn't care how many bulbs or amperage draw. The flash rate will always be the same.
Another great feature is that the good bulbs will keep flashing normally if 1 burns out instead of the whole system acting goofy as with a thermal flasher. In fact, it will still flash normally even if only 1 bulb is good. A great diagnosing feature.
Should be less than 10 bucks.
