Default dash cap, my project today

Got one of the new padded dash caps and to make a long story short, my advice is to spend the $300 and get a complete dash replacement.
I took the whole dash out to get the new one to fit by trimming it and reinstalling it several times.
Finally the new pad fit good so I added the glue and clapped it down all over for 24 hours it looks good enough.
Old dash pad the only way the new cover would fit.

New dash cap installed.

Looks pretty dam good to me. Nice job.
I had to put one of those in my Dodge Ram a few years ago. It is time consuming trimming the thing but if done right and with patience it turns out nice.

I have put a few in different cars and they all fit real good, but this one is not easy at all.
The dashes are wider than the opening between the window side post for 1 thing.
I could have saved the speaker holes but now I don't have to buy speakers!!!!
