I saw the white 76 in person today. Not bad, not great. Mechanically...sound. Still needs a couple of interior pieces, as well as new paint(it has chips and etc) Front bumper probably needs to be changed, along with the rear. They have been restoring it for about 9 yrs now. Engine, tranny, suspension rebuilt. A/C converted. New Carpet, Leather seats. Steering was a little loose. They are asking 9,500. It is not a 9,500 car in my mind. Or maybe it is I dunno...what do you guys think?
Needs paint for sure. The rest of the car looks to be well maintained, just not "brand new fresh". More like $75-7800 if you like it and it feels right? Have you expanded your search to seriously consider an automatic transmisson? I thought the initial search was 4 speeds preferred.
This one at least did not try to kill you on the test drive... a good sign in my book!

I have always been looking for automatics actually. Since the accident my ankle is really stiff, and doesn't flex like it should...and the Clutches on C3's are a tad harder to work than modern cars.
Definitely well maintained. They know it needs some work...I know it needs some work...I was actually thinking 7,500-8,500. Unless the car is black or silver...I actually prefer the car kind of needing new paint...because I know I would paint it in the future...and would not wan't to paint over a good paint job...if that makes sense.
i feel a little sea sick after watching your video.good job though.car looks clean and a restore possibility without going broke.i'm thinking more like a 7k offer as it is similar to my car except much cleaner with less mods.

Are those mid year center caps on those wheels? Does the rebuilt engine still have the original block and numbers? What was done to it? Looks like a nice car for $75-ish if you looked at all the usual places for rust and everything works. Gotta love those Vega steering wheels. My .02

So sorry about the video!!! My battery was dying on my phone so I went as fast as I could before it would stop taking video...When I was doing it I said to myself..."this is going to be a horrible video!!!"

They said they have the paperwork on the engine rebuild. It is the orginal engine, their mechanic told them that the value of the car would drop significantly if they swapped the engine out and that for that reason it would be best to rebuild the original engine.
I don't believe that they did any performance upgrades on the engine...and that they just rebuilt it to spec.
They really did no upgrades to the car, they were trying to put all the "right" pieces back on.
it looks and acts just like my 76 did when I got it, the price on these older cars isnt as much what they're worth as it is 'what they're worth to you the buyer'. depending on what you plan on doing with the car and the size of your wallet
something I've noticed being on here and C4, is that folks wish the values would go up, but then we kick the price .
if you're buying it to make money on , you probly wont, if you're buying it to enjoy and have fun with it will work
they've done the difficult and its not trashed, good luck

Also I am getting a car to enjoy the hell out of...and never plan on getting rid of it! It might change a few times over...but it won't go anywhere...unless I get desperate or something!
Devils advocate, they've already spent the money on the 73 that you will wind up spending on the 76, tell you wife it will bring out the highlights in her hair and eyes
From the outside, the '73 is twice the car the '76 is. Get under it, ck. condition and get some pics.. Take $200.00 with you to put up for hold money until the bank opens Monday, just in case. mike...
