Hello Again!

It has been a busy couple of months with lots of training, jumping, and qualifying, so i hadn't been able to do much with my '69 convertible. But in the last 2 weeks or so I've been able to play a bit more. Shes looking pretty good, especially since I stripped the stupid paint off of the louvers; no idea why the previous owner had covered them up!
Ill try and post some pics later if I can figure that out.
I managed to make it over to Charlotte yesterday for the Auto Fair. Basically it was a swap meet with some judging and manufacturer's tents thrown in. Hot as hell, but there were some OK deals if you managed to sort through all the BS. And if I didn't already own a classic, I would have after yesterday...there were some amazing deals out on the racetrack.
So! Here is where im running into some issues:
Im working on a budget (who isn't), and im trying to pick my next project wisely. I really need to do a total brake replacement from the rotors up. I'm thinking wilwood because it seems to be the best mainstream option out there (correct me if I'm wrong!). I have 16" torq Thrust wheels (p215/65R16 front, p235/65r16 rear) and I'm wondering what rotors and calipers i can squeeze under them. I'm thinking that I'm limited to the same brakes that fit under 15" and I dont have enough room for those that fit under 17"...is that right?
Also, while at the show, I ran into some guys from Unisteer and they offered to hook me up with their rackzilla ($1150msrp) and power steering conversion kit($400msrp) and ship it to me for $1100. sounds like a pretty good deal. I'd put power steering and rack/pinion on the back burner because my brakes/suspension/weather stripping/bushing projects just seemed more pressing. But this sounds like a good deal, does anyone have any experience with that kit? any comparison to Steeroids?
As usual, I appreciate everyones help, and I'll be trying to get some pics up this afternoon!

If they will fit with the stock wheel they should fit the larger diameters.
As for the R&P, watch what you get for the money. A lot of these kits use used racks. They also often increase your turning radius. I installed a Rack Attack kit from VB&P on my '70. It's supposed to be a carbon copy of the Steroids kit. Seems well make but did increase the turning radius making it a bit harder to park and things. I think there is a new kit from Flaming River that addresses these problems.
Good luck with your project and thanks for your service!
Jim
