Don't know the thread size off hand, but all you would have to do is drill and tap the Hurst ball to fit the stock handle. They have a metal insert in them though so it would be a little tricky.
I did the exact opposite on mine; I cut off the end of a bolt that was the same thread pitch as the stock handle, drilled and tapped it down its center to fit the threads on my Hurst stick, screwed it into a stock ball, and put that onto my Hurst shifter...
