Does the Mother's Powerball Polishing system actually work well??
Been polishing my mag wheels, and its taking a long time and doing a number on my hands and fingers!!
Does the Powerball really work, or are there better alternatives?
Thanks!

Did you use a scotch guard pad on them....it's much more aggressive than polishing them....but your can get some amazing results and then follow up with the fritz ball and polish them to whatever finish you like...... you can also use some fine steel wool or sos pads to get things started.....

I did the final polishing on my old 78 with the powerball and it worked awesome!
But I do remember all the hard work it took to get to the powerball stage , it's a real pain but it wll be worth it in the end.
Good luck

those other ways would be a $3 buffing wheel that you can mount in a high speed air powered die grinder (<$10 @HF) or a drill, or using your hands and a soft towel. I just buy the mothers polish and use a little buffing wheel in a right angle air grinder and it works great. for smaller parts I use a stationary buffer with mothers polish. $30 for a foam ball attached to a shaft seems absuredly expensive to me...Sometimes I use a fine scotchbrite with mothers by hand, and #0000 steel wool with mothers works good too.

I'm done polishing these wheels!! My wheels will look good for about 3 weeks tops then it's back to the polish to make em look good....If I let it slide it's double the work.I'm gonna PVD coat em for 125.00 each and be done with it..Will post up the results when there done...Aloha's
