The attached picture of the rocker panel is from my son's 72. The question I have is were these standard on a 69?
Also, on the windshield wiper door, was the small stainless trim piece painted the same color as the car or was it left stainless and unpainted?
Thanks,
so on a 69 the rocker panel wasnt chrome/aluminum? My 69 is in the process of being painted and I can't recall if the rockers are on the car or not as they are black and the car is black

'68 - '69 rockers were the 2 piece assembly. Upper is stainless steel and the lower is fiberglass. 1970 & up were the one piece stainless. Hope this helps. BK3
I was trying to figure out if my 69 had the correct trim as it is away being painted. As for the windshield trim, I didnt know if it was painted or left unpainted.
Just to say that the rocker panels on 70-up are aluminum and not stainless steel. The trim piece on the 68-69 are also aluminum. The studs rusted on my 68 and I had to change to the 70-77. You have to modify things to do so. The later black ones for 78-79, are slightly shorter than the 70-77 ones. I found out the hard way.
