I totally agree!!

Make the car fun to drive!

Personally i have a 200hp smallblock car now fitted with a GenV 454 bigblock and i would never change back to that 200hk motor, matching numbers or not.

As mentioned earlier, IF you have the matching numbers motor, put it under the bench in your garage and by or build a fun engine.

Why not put in a bigblock?
A very mild hometuned 454 produces easily 400hp, a ZZ454 crate engine gives you 440hp.

Want more power? Then spend some more money.

You will have good grunt and loads of vacum for your lights and the car will move when you put your throttle down.

Just my 2 Swedish cents.

Get your engine stroked...still have numbers matching but not "stock. Don't have to store your original engine or just do a top rebuild with afr head, cam, and intake; swap back out the heads/intake when you decide to sell.

Personally, does not make much sense to rely on 30 year old technology when newer tech is available for the sake of being 'unmolested' especially if going to be a daily driver.
